Skeena Moose hunter request

Skeena-South moose numbers appear to be declining and the Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club (BVRG) wants your help in collecting data.

BV Rod and Gun Club are requesting an incisor tooth from all licensed hunters harvesting a moose from MU 6-04, 6-05, 6-06, 6-08 and 6-09.  Number harvested, demographics, timing, methods used will be tabulated from both resident and non-resident hunters and the data will be presented to government to allow for better management.  Most moose in region 6 are on compulsory reporting; this area is not.

Teeth that are provided with appropriate information will be aged and the information given back to the hunters.  There will also be a draw; 1st prize is two nights at Tukii Lodge on Babine Lake (courtesy of Babine Guides and Outfitters).

BVRG thanks hunters for their efforts to enhance moose management in this area.

Please provide the centre incisor; do not damage the root as it provides the best results.
