Prince George is the largest city in Northern British Columbia.  Situated at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers, and the crossroads of Highway 16 and Highway 97, the city plays an important role in the province's economy and culture.  It is a virtual playground for outdoorsmen, with thousands of square kilometers of wilderness lakes, rivers and mountains.  Hunters pursue big game such as moose, elk, mule deer, white tailed deer, black bear, grizzly bear.  Within driving distance is goat, caribou, and mountain sheep.  Terrific small game hunting is available too, for grouse, waterfowl, rabbit and predators such as wolf, coyote, lynx and cougar.  Lakes, streams and rivers are full of rainbow trout, lake char, steelhead, salmon and grayling.  Northern BC is literally the Serengeti of Canada.
